Top 5 Bridal Appointment Tips

Updated: Oct 5, 2022

Just booked your bridal appointment and wondering how best to prepare?

Here is the short & sweet list of top tips on how to make the most out of your big day!

Tip #1: Always be prepared to find 'the one'

There is no right or wrong timeline on finding your dress! It is totally normal to find THE dress at your very first appointment, so remember to let your heart take the lead. Don't think too far into it, because the truth is that much like your fiancé, 'the one' can come at any time!

Tip #2: Make sure your entourage is in order

Like we said in tip number 1, finding your perfect dress can often happen unexpectedly. With that in mind, please be absolutely sure to bring everyone with you that you would need there to 'say yes'. Try your best not to come to any appointments without those important loved ones, because it would be a shame to miss out on a special moment that can't be recreated! Treat every appointment like it is the appointment, and you are sure to be prepared for any amazing experience you may have.

Tip #3: Be open-minded in your expectations

It is totally understandable to not know the ins-and-outs of what the world of bridal has to offer. After all, this is your first time! That being said, be sure to research the designers/price points of the boutique prior to visiting, to familiarize yourself and confirm that they align with your preferred budget/style vision. Here at Ever After, our gowns range anywhere from $800-$3600, depending on the style. You can always speak to a consultant before your appointment and go over styles/pricing to be sure you are best prepared for a smooth and successful appointment!

Tip #4: Ask questions

Remember that we as consultants are here to help you through this process start to finish! Don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have about your appointment, because there is no such thing as being too prepared. Our most frequently asked question is regarding whether or not undergarments are necessary, for which we typically reply no! All of our dresses all include built-in bust cups, meaning our brides do not need to bring a strapless bra to try on. However, if you'd like to bring shape wear of any kind, that can often be helpful to some brides to increase comfort/confidence!

Tip #5: Be ready to celebrate!

First and foremost this is a celebration! We thoroughly encourage all of our brides to bring snacks, goodies, and of course champagne to toast your 'say yes' moment! We can't wait to meet you and celebrate this once in a lifetime moment with you!
